Texas SB 2721

Earlier this year, Texas Senate Bill 2721 was introduced to enhance oversight of organizations handling anatomical specimen donations.

While we supported its goal of promoting transparency and ethical standards, the bill’s wording could have unintentionally restricted AATB-certified non-transplant anatomical donation organizations (NADOs), which are key partners in advancing medical training and research.

We understand that Texas Senate Bill 2721 raised concerns about the future of bioskills labs in the state, which is why we wanted to update you that the bill did not pass, and our operations are continuing as usual.
