Axis Research & Technologies is proud to share that Jill Sherman Goodwin has been named a finalist for the 2026 ICON Award for Life Sciences CEO of the Year, presented by the Maryland Tech Council.

The ICON Awards recognize outstanding leadership and innovation across Maryland’s technology and life sciences communities. Finalists are selected based on their impact, vision, and measurable contributions to advancing their organizations and the broader industry.

Jill’s recognition reflects her leadership in helping drive AxisRT’s mission forward: bringing clarity, precision, and measurable results to complex operational environments. Her team's work continues to elevate how organizations approach real-time data, decision-making, and performance optimization.

Her background also includes serving as Chief Operating Officer at OmniMed.ai, where she helped scale AI-driven healthcare solutions. That experience continues to inform her leadership at AxisRT today.

Advancing Life Sciences Innovation in Maryland

AxisRT’s work in the region is directly contributing to the advancement of Maryland’s life sciences ecosystem.  Of special note is its collaboration with the University of Maryland, Baltimore to build the nation’s first AI-powered Smart Surgical Performance Center.

This initiative is designed to transform how surgical teams train, measure performance, and improve outcomes by leveraging real-time data and advanced analytics. The project represents a significant step forward in integrating AI into healthcare operations, with the potential to influence standards far beyond Maryland.

AxisRT also maintains a bioskills laboratory in Columbia, Maryland, providing hands-on training environments for medical professionals and device companies. This facility strengthens the region’s position as a hub for clinical education and innovation while supporting the practical application of advanced technologies in real-world settings.

Jill’s leadership has played a key role in aligning technology, clinical insight, and execution to deliver meaningful innovation where it matters most: patient care.
